Tralee Bay Maritime Centre and its staff are committed to the safety of all course participants, staff, volunteers and bystanders, and as a result the highest safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Chief responsibility lies with the Centre Principal and Senior Instructor, it is their duty to ensure that a safe environment is in place for all participants, staff and volunteers prior to the commencement of any training courses at the centre. Tralee Bay Maritime Centre is committed to operating under the relevant health and safety guidelines and legislation.

 

All staff and volunteers will hold the required safety training and qualifications, and will follow the standard operating procedures laid down by the Centre for all activities.

 

The Centre Principal and Senior Instructor will review the safety statement annually, or in the case of the emergency action plan being implemented. As part of this review, a risk assessment of the entire Maritime Centre, operating areas and equipment will be carried out.
